The three star Parador de Cevera de Pisuergais is built in the style of a five storey hunting lodge situated in the Fuentes Carrionas Nature Reserve surrounded by the Picos de Europa Mountains and clear waters of the Ruesga reservoir. The elegant and traditional interior or the parador has wood panelled walls decorated with wild animal heads, beamed ceilings and colour provided by brightly painted ceramics.

The 64 twin, 8 double and 8 single bedrooms are very comfortable and have a private bathroom, a telephone, satellite television, in room safe and a mini bar. They all have balconies overlooking the reserve.

The restaurant has beautiful views over the Ruesga reservoir and offers traditional Castilian cooking including hand-made sausages, veal steak, trout with bacon, garlic soup and “leche frita” which is a dessert of custard with a caramel topping. Attractions in the town include the fortified church of Santa Maria del Castillo which stands on the hill. It is also worth exploring the small villages in the area and the Natural Park which is an area rich in wild orchids and butterflies.
